| These images were taken in December 2000, while I traveled around Nepal for a month with my aunt & uncle who were living in Kathmandu for a year on sabatical. I spent about half the time around Kathmandu (quite a place), and then we trekked for 2 weeks in the Everest region (from Lukla to Gokyo and back). It was an experience that photos really can't convey at all; these are a scratch on the surface. The Buddhist landscape especially attracted me, both spiritually and visually; prayer flags are found everywhere, sending prayers to the gods everytime they flap in the mountain wind. |
